Rehabilitation

Whether you're weeks or years out from surgery, radiation, or lymph node removal, specialized rehab can help you regain movement, reduce swelling, and feel more like yourself again.

Breast cancer treatment — mastectomy, lumpectomy, lymph node removal, radiation — can leave lasting effects on your body long after treatment ends. Tightness across the chest, restricted shoulder movement, cording, swelling in the arm, or a sense that your body just doesn't move the way it used to are all common, and all things we can help with.

You don't have to just "live with it."

At South County Lymphatics & Wellness, we work alongside your oncology team to provide rehab care specifically for breast cancer survivors — combining manual lymphatic drainage, scar tissue and cording treatment, and guided movement to help restore range of motion, reduce swelling, and support long-term recovery.

Common concerns we treat:
What care may include:
  • Swelling in the arm, hand, or chest (lymphedema risk or diagnosis)
  • Cording (axillary web syndrome) after lymph node removal
  • Pain
  • Restricted shoulder or arm mobility
  • Scar tissue tightness or discomfort
  • Radiation-related skin and tissue changes
  • General deconditioning after treatment
  • Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD)
  • Scar and cording mobilization
  • Range-of-motion and strength rebuilding
  • Compression garment guidance, if needed
  • Close coordination with your oncologist and surgeon
A note on timing:

It's never too late to start. Whether you finished treatment last month or several years ago, rehab can still make a meaningful difference.
